Cookie policy
No cookies. Here is how you can check.

What this site sets
rainkernel.com sets no cookies — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for preferences, not for sessions. It loads no third-party scripts, fonts, pixels or embedded players. That is why there is no cookie banner: under the ePrivacy rules, the GDPR and India's DPDP Act, consent is needed for storing or reading information on your device beyond what you asked for. We store nothing of that kind, so there is nothing to ask.
What this site keeps in your browser
Two small preferences are kept in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
| Key | What it holds | Why | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| rk-theme | "light" or "dark" | Remembers the colour theme you chose with the sun button in the header. | Until you clear site data |
| rk-announce-* | "1" | Remembers that you dismissed the announcement bar, so it does not reappear. | Until you clear site data |
Neither value identifies you, neither is read by anything but this site's own code, and both are optional — the site works the same without them.
How to verify
- Open your browser's developer tools → Application (or Storage) → Cookies → rainkernel.com. The list is empty.
- Open Network and reload: every request goes to rainkernel.com, except a form submission you make, which goes to our own API endpoint on AWS (Mumbai).
- View the page source: the Content Security Policy in the head lists exactly which origins the page may talk to.
Forms
When you submit the contact form or ask the Readiness Score to email your result, your entries are sent to our own server and handled as the privacy notice describes. No cookie is set in the process.
If this ever changes
If we add analytics or a chat tool that sets cookies, this page will say which, a consent dialog will appear before any such script runs, your choice will be stored in local storage (not in a cookie) and refusing will leave the site fully usable. The consent code already exists in the site and is switched off; the switch is a single setting we will not flip without updating this page and its effective date.
